SafetyNet Health Economics Working Group hybrid event – 9 February 2027
The NIHR SafetyNet Health Economics Working Group (HEWG) will hold a hybrid event in Manchester on Tuesday 9 February 2027, bringing together colleagues working on, or interested in, the economics of patient safety.
The hybrid meeting will aim to:
- Share ongoing research, project ideas, early findings and methodological work.
- Explore how health economics can support the design, evaluation and implementation of patient safety interventions, services and policies.
- Strengthen collaboration across PSRCs, SafetyNet and the wider network.
- Support PPIE in health economics and patient safety research.
- Share experiences of NIHR funding, fellowships and career development.
- Identify future priorities and opportunities for collaboration within HEWG.
Call for submission
PSRC colleagues are invited to submit their work for the meeting’s Research Showcase: Economics in Patient Safety session.
The showcase will provide an opportunity to share work related to the economics of patient safety. This could include a project idea, work in progress, early findings, recently completed research, or methodological work relevant to patient safety.
Presentations will be short, approximately 10 minutes, followed by time for questions and discussion. Selected presenters will be expected to attend the event in person in Manchester.
If you would like your work to be considered for the showcase, please complete this short submission form. The form asks for a proposed presentation title and a brief abstract of up to 350 words.
Please submit your work by 30 November 2026.
We would be very pleased to receive submissions from colleagues across PSRCs and the wider network.
